Hello!
Of all the major, life-altering, newsworthy events happening this
week, I daresay I write with what is surely the most delightful: The Rogue And The Rival is
now in
stores!
The Rogue And The Rival is the second
book in my Negligent Chaperone series. Readers of The
Heir And The Spare will
remember Phillip Kensington, Marquis Huntley. He made his first appearance
as the villainous twin. Now he returns as the hero.
Lord Phillip is a rake with every possible vice—gambling, drinking,
and debauching young ladies (the typical gentlemanly pursuits). The
heroine, Miss Angela Sullivan, has fallen for the likes of him before,
and she vows that she will not make that mistake a second
time. Instead, she’s planning to take her orders and live out her
days in peaceful contemplation at Stanbrook Abbey. They meet when
he is found gravely injured and brought to the abbey to recover under
her tender care. As days become weeks, they can’t help but fall madly
in love. But then their pasts catch up with them, and a happily-ever-after
seems like too much to hope for, until Lady Palmerston, Negligent
Chaperone extraordinaire, gets involved.
The reviews are
coming in—and they are quite favorable.
Romantic Times says that I regale with “another delightful,
tender, witty love story that’s a smart charmer of a read.” The
Romance Studio Reviews says, “It is definitely not one to miss”
and Fresh
Fiction writes that I “give readers their money
worth.”
Oh wait, there is more! I’ve got a few events coming
up, special guests on my blog,
and secrets about
my new release. My serial novella, Darcy
Darlington And The Diamond Of Desire, concluded this week,
but the story is still available in its entirety for those who want
to check back and discover the connection to The
Rogue And The Rival.
If you need a pleasant diversion, an escape from reality or something
celebratory for this weekend, pick up your copy of The Rogue
And The Rival for a story that definitely ends happily.
Yours,
Maya
